Welcome to Academic Ambassadors!

Welcome to Academic Ambassadors.

The first service specifically created to provide discounted hotel rates for academic and other nonprofit travelers.

So, if you work for or are otherwise associated with any nonprofit (as a volunteer, congregant…), you are now eligible for pre-negotiated discounted rates at carefully selected hotels around the country.

In other words, discount travel for us nonprofit types.

This is how it works…

  1. First, please register so that I know where you're coming from, where you go and how to get in touch with you. This will help me tailor this service to the members. I will not sell, lend or exchange your name or any list to any outside vendor or organization. I promise.
  2. Then, just look on the map to see where Academic Ambassadors has member hotels. These are places where I have pre-negotiated discounted rates; they are also terrific hotels in great locations.
  3. To take advantage of the discount, the only thing left to do is for you, or an assistant, to call the hotel directly (or book online, in some cases) to make a reservation.

Just let them know that the booking is for an Academic Ambassador. That's it!

Now Playing: The Rise of the Travel Agent!

While we likely don't need dodo birds (but I do miss the idea of them for some reason!), sometimes you do need a good travel agent. I've got one:

Academic Ambassadors is now partnering with Amyable Travel to expand our hotel-matching network into a full-service hands-on trip planner.

So, if you're thinking of taking a wine tour of Italy, an art lovers exploration of Paris, a cruise, a safari, something/anything Disney… Amyable can ably handle ALL the details (from your flight to your hotel, car, tour/restaurant reservations…).

Amy specializes in complicated, multi-location adventures (that may have an intergenerational element), but is also happy to put together a simpler weekend for two somewhere special.
