I have intimacy issues…with hotels.

Most, of course, are too big—we usually stay away from those concrete boxes with infinite corridors. Some though may be too small. We've all been to bed and breakfasts where you're sharing space with doilies and cats.

In between, are swank art-filled public spaces and and smartly appointed rooms, featuring ipod docking stations, flat screen TVs, complimentary wireless internet and Malin+Goetz toiletries (Andy Goetz was a childhood friend of mine, so I had to get that plug in).
