When the SF-based but now very national Kimpton Hotel group plotted its entry into the NYC market, I know it did so with deliberation and some very clever analysis of what is expected there. It was with similar circumspection that I scouted a new New York headquarters for us. Well, folks, we have a match.
Towards downtown, but in the middle of things, 70 Park Avenue makes a quiet splash on a very elegant stretch of Manhattan's Murray Hill neighborhood. The interior perfectly reflects the sophistication of the streetscape with subdued tones and lush furnishings.
High-tech and homey, 70 Park comes with a tavern and flat screen televisions, WiFi and attentive (though not fawning) service.
If you would allow me to exhale, I should explain that I covered a fair amount of real estate before choosing our next NY partner. So many of us go there (for business and pleasure) and we need to be comfortable at the end (and beginning) of a taxing, if exhilarating, day. A disappointment compounds the exhaustion. 70 Park Avenue should be just the tonic.
